Tests Offered

University Testing is responsible for the administration  of the National tests offered at Arkansas Tech University.  A registration fee and completed application must be mailed to respective test companies with the exception of Residual ACT. Information regarding registration is available through University Testing . The following is a list of tests offered:

College Admissions Tests

• American College Testing (ACT)

• Residual ACT - this test is designed for students planning to enroll at TECH who have not taken the ACT or the SAT

• Compass Test

• Test Of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) for International Students

College Credit Tests

• College Level Examination  Program (CLEP)

• Advanced Placement (AP)

Professional School Admissions Tests

• Law School Admission Test (LSAT)

Admission Requirements for Graduate Programs

• Graduate Records Examination Subject Exams (GRE)

• Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT)

• Miller Analogies Test (MAT)

Occupational Certification Tests

• American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)

• PRAXIS I & II: Academic Skills Assessments and Subject Assessments

Other Tests

• Arkansas Assessment of General Education (AAGE) "Rising Junior Exam"

• Health & Information Management Challenge Examination (HIM)

• National League of Nurses Exams (NLN)

• Correspondence Testing

• Web Testing

The University Testing office carries literature and registration information for several tests not offered at
Arkansas Tech University including:

• Graduate Records Examination - General Exam (GRE)

• Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT)

• Pharmacy College Admissions Test (PCAT)

• Law School Data Assembly Services (LSDAS)

• Medical College Admission Test (MCAT)

Entrance Examinations

• Arkansas Tech University accepts either the ACT or SAT tests for admission purposes.

• Credit may also be granted to students who have ACT or SAT test scores that meet the standards set by the University.

• In order to receive credit, TECH must be the first college attended by the student.

• Credit will not be granted until the scores are on file in the Admissions Office.

• Credit is awarded to qualifying students following completion of one fall or spring semester
