Miller Analogies Test (MAT)

General Information:

The MAT is a high-level mental ability test requiring the solution stated as analogies.  It consists of 120 partial analogies that are to be completed in 60 minutes.  The MAT is sent to and graded by the Psychological Corporation and the results are sent directly to examinees in four to six weeks.

Fluency is the English language, a broad knowledge of literature, philosophy, history, science, mathematics, and the fine arts, and the ability to reason out relationships may contribute to performance on the MAT.  There is no foreign-language edition of the MAT.  No one is permitted to use a dictionary or any other reference aid when taking the MAT.

$65.00 (cash only, no checks)

Testing Schedule:

MAT is offered as scheduled.  To register for the MAT, come by the University Testing office to pay the $65.00.  If you live outside of the area and are unable to do so, it is acceptable to fax information and send in a money order made out to Arkansas Tech University. 

Wait Time Between Tests:

A student must wait sixty (60) days before retaking the MAT exam.
