General Information:

The Praxis Series is a series of test that states use as part of their teacher certification process.

Cost:

I.                   Praxis I (PPST)

Reading                 $  35.00

Mathematics          $  35.00

Writing                   $  35.00          

Registration fee     $  40.00

TOTAL                 $145.00

II.                Praxis II (Subject Area)

The costs of Praxis II test vary.  (The registration fee of $40.00 should be added to the test fee to give the total cost.)

*If unsure of which test you need to take, do not ask University Testing.  Contact the Arkansas Department of Education (501) 682-4342 or (501) 682-4475.  Sometimes the State Department of Education changes its Praxis II requirements for different subject areas, and the only way for a client to find out for sure which test to take is to directly ask the State Department of Education.  A student at Arkansas Tech University may ask their Advisor what tests they need to take.

Testing Schedule:

I.                   PAPER AND PENCIL

Praxis I and II paper and pencil tests are given several times during each academic school year;  see the following page to find the currently scheduled test dates.

II.                COMPUTER-BASED

Computer-based Praxis testing is available only for the Praxis I (PPST) test(s).  Praxis II test are not currently available online.  To schedule a Praxis I computer-based test at an Arkansas computer testing center, see the following page.  Arkansas Tech does not give computer-based Praxis I tests.
